For peat-lovers, Ardbeg 10 year is probably the highest-quality ‘entry-level’ single malt on the market, and the distillery many Islay connoisseurs would choose as their favorite. A whirlwind of peat and complex malty flavors, this is an exuberant, in-your-face whisky to be cherished.

The Balvenie Doublewood Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a 12 year old single malt which gains its distinctive character from being matured in two woods. During its period of maturation The Balvenie Doublewood is transferred from a traditional oak whisky cask to a first fill Spanish oak sherry cask. Each stage lends different qualities to the resulting single malt – the traditional casks, having previously held bourbon, soften and add character, whilst the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavor.

A much-loved single malt, Cardhu is an easygoing, charming Speysider. With clean, crisp oak and sweet malt evoking flavours of honeyed flapjacks and home-made caramel squares, this is one for the sweet-toothed among you.

Cragganmore, the Speyside single malt whisky, is well known for it’s sweet and complex flavours.

When the water you start with comes from the highest mountain source of any malt, you expect something rather fine. And Dalwhinnie™, for whisky writer Roger Voss a “surprisingly soft whisky…from Scotland’s highest, most remote distillery”, does not disappoint.

The  Finest Double-Matured Whisky for 125 years, five generations of Malt Masters have helped make Glenfiddich the World’ Most Awarded Single Malt

The standard 10 year old Glenkinchie has now been replaced by the standard “12 year old”. This is a fairly typical lowland whisky in that it is fresh and light in character, with notes of lemon and cut grass. A sweet nose and a hint of peat make this a good introduction to the world of single malts.

The 14 year old Distiller’s Edition is double-matured in Amontillado sherry casks. The sherry flavor competes slightly with the freshness but does not overpower it.

Highland Single Malt Scotch Glenlivet 12 Year Old shows a perfectly balanced display of fruity and floral flavors. Oak is present but in the distance.

Highland Park
Highland Park distills their single malt Scotch from hand-turned malt, a considerably aromatic peat and uses coll maturation in sherry oak casks to finish them off.

Jura Superstition
Two styles of spirit from Jura distillery are combined to produce this beautifully balanced single malt. Heavily peated younger malt and older Jura making a great alternative for Islay fans, in sexy packaging too!

Lagavulin Single Malt – Deep amber gold. Intense peat smoke with iodine and seaweed and a rich, deep sweetness. Dry peat smoke fills the palate with a gentle but strong sweetness
