Ommegang Gnomegang
Gnomegang – Brewery OmmegangThe name drew me in but the style is what wowed me.  Yeasty aroma, cloudy color, every sip was perfect.  This Belgian strong pale ale lives up to its name.   “Gnomegang has a rich, translucent golden hue with a big, fluffy, white head. Distinctive clove aromas, combined with yeasty fruitiness typical of Chouffe beers. Flavors include ripe fruit, clove, light caramel, non-cloying candy sweetness, smooth maltiness, and well-balanced hopping. Dry, warming finish that lingers gracefully.”
DuvelTripleHop
Duvel Triple Hop- Duvel“Duvel Tripel Hop is brewed with three hop varieties and each year the third hop is changed to provide its own unique taste and aroma. For 2015 our brewers selected the aromatic hop EQUINOX from the USA.  Our 2015 selection is characterized with the aroma of grapefruit, lemon and a hint of fresh green pepper. Equinox hops are added again during ‘dry-hopping’, extracting additional hop aromas into the beer. The higher aromatic intensity rounds out the beer, backing the final alcohol content of 9.5%.

The Great Pumpkin Ale  – Cambridge Brewing CompanyLocal beer, made with local ingredients.  We scored a case of 22 ounce bottles of the CBC’s Great Pumpkin Ale.  This is the CBC story of pumpkin beer:  “Beer brewed with pumpkins has been around since the days of colonial New England, when brewers often had to supplement the traditional barley and hops with other ingredients that were more readily available. CBC, the first New England craft brewery to produce pumpkin ale, revived the style in the Boston area in 1990 and continues to brew this beer according to Phil “Brewdaddy” Bannatyne’s original recipe.”
